'It's Bloody Normal'
A diverse project tackling menstruation stigmatisations through abstract art and photography. The aim of this photographic work is to increase awareness and normalise our views towards periods. The book consists of 6 chapters, where various topics are addressed throughout the book balancing two views, one from the photographer’s personal account and the other sharing different female experiences. The project provides a space for women’s voices which need to be brought to a wider audience. By fostering open discussion, it promotes accurate narratives, aiding in destigmatisation. Encouraging viewers to address their initial thoughts towards periods, questioning the reality of shame.
